Halls Life

 

There are two student residential halls in VTC which are located in Pokfulam Road, Hong Kong Island and Tsing Yi Island, New Territories. The two halls provide a total of around 1,000 residence places (on double occupancy basis) for Full-time students and Part-time students of Degree, Higher Diploma and Diploma of Foundation Studies, as short-stay places for local or foreign students and collaboration partners of VTC. Halls life provides opportunities for students to learn and grow together through a cross-cultural environment, as well as enriches study life and adds value to students’ whole person development.

Residence Place

A standard suite has two bedrooms, and each one accommodating 2 persons. Each suite of accommodation can accommodate 4 residents. Same suite will share a set of washroom, bathroom and air-conditioner. A single bed, writing desk and wardrobe will be provided to each resident. Halls facilities include common areas, multipurpose rooms, televisions, pantries, cooking facilities, microwave ovens, washing machines and dryers, etc. There are supermarkets and restaurants near the Halls for daily needs.

Remarks:

The allocation of accommodation types may be adjusted based on availability and actual demand.

 

Points to note:

  1. Due to limited availability at the VTC Halls of Residence, dormitory spaces will be allocated through a lottery draw system based on demand.
  2. The accommodation period is from 1st September 2025 to 30th June 2026 (a total of 10 months).
  3. The accommodation fee must be paid in full by the stated payment schedule and is non-refundable. No refund of accommodation fee will be issued for late check-itermsearly withdrawal.
  4. During the accommodation period, if a resident has completed their programme (graduated) or withdrawn, suspended, terminated his/her studies for any reason, had changes in his/her student status, or is no longer a student of VTC, their accommodation will be terminated, and he/she will be required to check out. The resident is responsible for notifying the Hall Management Office to arrange for check-out and any accommodation fees already paid will not be refunded.
