The Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) is a leading design institution under the VTC Group. It provides high-quality design education to cultivate knowledge and professionalism, and produces emerging talents for the creative industries. HKDI adopts a “think-and-do” approach through its contemporary curriculum and active collaborations with local and international academic and industry partners. Students are given opportunities to acquire hands-on experience and participate in global exchange programmes to expand their horizons while enhancing their creative thinking and social sensitivity.

The International Culinary Institute (ICI) provides quality and professional programmes with state-of-the-art facilities to groom aspiring youths to be well versed in international cuisines, baking and pastry arts and wine, supporting students’ successful career development in the industry. It also provides youngsters with diversified progression pathways leading to various professional qualifications. ICI offers a wide range of quality professional culinary programmes covering cuisines of Europe, the Mediterranean, Americas, the Middle East and Asia as well as bakery, pastry and confectionery. It also provides wine related programmes to groom aspiring youths for career development in the culinary, wine and hospitality industry.

Vocational Training Council (VTC), established in 1982, has always been at the forefront of vocational and professional education and training (VPET). As a statutory body, we are an essential part of the Hong Kong education system to ensure the skills of the workforce remain fresh and future ready. Our mandate to provide VPET is vital in meeting industry needs, and in fulfilling the aspirations of some 200,000 young people and in-service workers who attend a programme every year at one of our 14 member institutions.
