The programme aims to provide students with fundamental environmental science knowledge for sustainable development, including ecology, fieldwork safety, laboratory practice, environmental chemistry and microbiology. Year One students who completed the common semester can opt to progress to either environmental science or environmental protection and management professional programmes.
The broad-based common curriculum design provides a holistic experience for the Year One student and a sound foundation to enable the students to confirm their study in the professional. The programme is suitable for students who have a great interest in the environmental science, environmental protection, environmental management and sustainability industry and professions.
Students will choose one of the following specialised programmes to enhance professional knowledge and skills in specific areas in the 2nd Semester:
* The 1st semester is a common semester. Students will progress to the professional programmes in the 2nd semester, subject to their programme choice, academic performance and study place availability in specific programme.
