VTC students participated in “Greater Bay Area Student Exchange Alliance E-commerce Skills Workshop”

To promote the exchange and cooperation in VPET within the Greater Bay Area (GBA), and interdisciplinary learning and exchange among young students in the GBA, the “Greater Bay Area Student Exchange Alliance E-commerce Skills Workshop" organised by the Greater Bay Area Student Exchange Alliance, was held between 13 and 15 December 2024 at the Guangzhou Huashang Vocational College.

The theme of the Workshop was "Cross-border Integration in the GBA and Showcasing New E-commerce Trends", with the aim of enhancing students' understanding of e-commerce development in Mainland and their professional live streaming skills.  Seven member institutions of the Greater Bay Area Student Exchange Alliance, namely VTC, Shenzhen Polytechnic University, Guangzhou Huashang Vocational College, Zhongshan Polytechnic, Guangzhou Panyu Polytechnic, Guangdong Industry Polytechnic University and Shunde Polytechnic, selected close to 100 students to participate in the Workshop.  During the event, students received guidance from industry mentors, acquiring skills in short video production and gaining an understanding on product promotion strategies, as well as improving their interactive communication skills with the audience.  Additionally, they visited an enterprise in Guangzhou and attended a seminar, gaining insights into the latest trends in the industry.

Through the three-day learning experience, students applied their theoretical knowledge into practice and showcased their talents in team performances, presenting the youth's boundless creativity in a lively and thrilling manner across products in different categories.  Through team collaboration and interaction, the students established close partnerships, not only enhancing their friendships but also growing together through exchange and learning.
