On 21 October 2025, a delegation of National Model Workers and Craftsmen visited the VTC for an in-depth exchange with students and WorldSkills Competition competitors, promoting vocational skills and the spirit of craftsmanship.
The delegation was led by Mr. WEI Dichun, Vice Chairman of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU). The delegation included seven top elites from various sectors, covering fields including aerospace, aviation, artificial intelligence, maritime, finance, catering, and cultural arts, along with several senior representatives from the ACFTU. The event was also attended by representatives from the Hong Kong & Macao Work Office of the CPC Central Committee and the Hong Kong & Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, as well as representatives from the Labour Department and the Education Bureau of the Hong Kong SAR Government.
Accompanied by VTC Chairman Mr Tony TAI and Executive Director Mr Donald TONG, the delegation visited professional training facilities at the Chinese Culinary Institute, the Hotel and Tourism Institute, and the International Culinary Institute. During the visit, they engaged in meaningful exchanges with VTC students and WorldSkills Competition competitors.
The participants were deeply inspired by the delegation's insights and experiences, which motivated them to continuously hone their skills, strive for excellence, and build a solid foundation for their future professional development.
