VTC Received Delegation from the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education to Deepen Guangdong-Hong Kong Vocational Education Collaboration

VTC welcomed a delegation led by Dr. Feng Wei, Deputy Director-General of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education, on November 5-6, 2025, while the delegation was in Hong Kong to attend the "Greater Bay Area International Youth Skills Competition 2025". The delegation included principals and representatives from Guangdong Industry Polytechnic University, Guangdong Construction Polytechnic, Guangdong Communication Polytechnic, Guangdong Engineering Polytechnic, and Qingyuan Polytechnic.

Mr Donald TONG, VTC Executive Director, together with senior directorates of VTC met with the delegation to share the latest developments of the VTC, its Mainland Development Strategies, as well as the future plans. The delegation visited the member institutions of the VTC including the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI), the Hong Kong Institute of Information Technology (HKIIT), and the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE). They gained an understanding of the latest advancements in various disciplines, engaged in in-depth discussions, and explored potential collaboration opportunities in Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET) between Guangdong and Hong Kong.
