A five-member delegation led by the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of ITE, Mr. Peter Lam, conducted a two-day visit to the Vocational Training Council (VTC) to deepen ties in Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET).
During the visit, the delegation toured the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Chai Wan) to gain valuable insights into its smart campus development and advanced teaching and learning facilities. This was followed by a visit to HKDI Virtual Production Studio at Shaw Studios, where they explored cutting-edge technologies in creative and digital media training. The delegation also visited the Hong Kong Institute of Information Technology and the Wofoo Foundation Dr Joseph Lee Whole Person Development Education Centre to better understand VTC’s holistic whole-person development initiatives.
Furthermore, the delegation engaged in a high-level meeting with VTC Senior Management to exchange best practices on shaping VPET. Through these discussions, the ITE representatives learned about VTC’s current strategies regarding Artificial Intelligence, curriculum design, and Special Educational Needs (SEN) support. These exchanges have paved the way for a follow-up delegation specifically focused on further exploring SEN education.
In addition to the campus tours, the delegation participated in an insightful sharing session on Artificial Intelligence and Enterprise Digital Transformation delivered by Cathay Pacific Airways, which provided valuable industry perspectives on innovation, digitalisation and future talent development.
The visit served as a highly productive platform for both institutions to exchange best practices, benchmark facilities, and reinforce their long-standing institutional partnership.
