(只提供英文版本)On 3 Dec 2021, the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) Kwun Tong and the International Development Office jointly organised the Thailand Cultural Day 2021 cum Agreement Signing Ceremony at IVE (Kwun Tong) campus. The VTC, Panyapiwat Institute of Management (PIM) and CP ALL Public Company Limited (CP ALL) signed the collaboration agreement virtually to extend the scope of the partnership to more diversified levels, including arranging exchange activities for staff and more industry collaborations. The Deputy Executive Director of VTC, Ms Alaina SHUM and the Senior Vice President of PIM and CP ALL, Mr Siam CHOKSAWANGWONG served as the representatives of two sides to sign the agreement, and the ceremony was witnessed by the Executive Director of VTC, Mrs Carrie YAU.
Mr Tull TRAISORAT, Royal Thai Consul-General in Hong Kong, graced us with his presence at this momentous occasion as the guest of honour. Delivering the welcome remarks at the signing ceremony, Mrs Carrie YAU, Executive Director of VTC, extended her sincere gratitude to the Consulate-General of Thailand in Hong Kong for the tremendous support in making the event a success.
Following the signing ceremony was the Thailand Cultural Day kicked off by the traditional Thai Lotus Dance hosted by the Thai Culture Association of Hong Kong and the traditional Thai costume exhibition. After the graceful and elaborate dance performance with lavish costumes and music, the guests were invited to a tour of cultural showcases to experience Thai culture and arts, including making Krathong Floating Lanterns (Water Lanterns), Thai herbal massage balls, oil-paper umbrellas, as well as learning the Thai language. These workshops earned an enthusiastic response from our 120 students who joined the activities. Afterwards, the guests also visited the latest teaching facilities of IVE (Kwun Tong) and interacted with the students to learn about their study life with the VTC.
