Webinar on "Opportunities and Challenges for the Development of Hong Kong’s Construction Industry in the Greater Bay Area (GBA)"

The development of the Greater Bay Area (GBA) is one of the key national strategic initiatives which requires considerable infrastructure to enhance and support the progression of the area therefore creating a huge demand for talent in the construction industry. It not only brings unlimited opportunities, but also poses challenges to Hong Kong’s construction industry.

To help VTC students and staff grasp the latest market trend, potentials and career prospects of the construction industry in the GBA, a webinar on "Opportunities and Challenges for the Development of Hong Kong’s Construction Industry in the Greater Bay Area" was organised by the International Development Office. Ir Dr PANG Yat Bond, Derrick, JP, Chief Executive Officer of Asia Allied Infrastructure Holdings Limited, was invited as our guest speaker to share his insights on the opportunities and challenges of the development of GBA to Hong Kong’s construction industry. In the webinar, he also advised on how to better prepare ourselves for the great prospects brought by the GBA development. The webinar received an overwhelming response with over 100 VTC students and staff participating in it.
