Webinar on "Entrepreneurship in the Greater Bay Area: Optimising Opportunities for Hong Kong Start-ups"

The national initiative on the development of the Greater Bay Area (GBA) has given our younger generation huge development potential and opportunities, particularly in entrepreneurship. With the rapid development of youth entrepreneurial bases in the GBA in recent years, it has provided massive hardware and software support to innovative and entrepreneurial activities, alongside the government’s supportive policies on youth innovation and entrepreneurship.

With a view to enriching our students and staff’s understanding of the latest development of the region and leveraging the opportunities for career advancement in the Greater Bay Area, Ms Alice TSANG, Assistant Principal Economist (Greater China) of Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), was invited to share her views on the opportunities and challenges that Hong Kong local start-ups face when tapping into the GBA market and highlighted some real-life cases illustrating the latest developments and characteristics of start-ups in the GBA.

Ms TSANG also shared some findings of HKTDC's recent research on "Hong Kong Start-Ups" and invaluable insights on market developments, trade policies and market trends in the GBA. The webinar garnered support from nearly 120 VTC students and staff.
