VTC Participated in the China-ASEAN Vocational Education Expo and Forum 2023

On September 15, 2023, Mr Donald Tong, Executive Director of the VTC led a delegation to attend the 2023 China-ASEAN Vocational Education Expo and Forum in Nanning, Guangxi. ED delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony, welcoming the attendees to explore regional development in vocational education and training.

On the next day, the delegation attended the vocational education cooperation meeting at Nanning College for Vocational Technology (NCVT) to discuss the cooperation between Guangxi and Hong Kong, including exploring future collaborations in vocational education, student exchange activities, curriculum expansion and teacher training arrangement.

The VTC delegation also attended the opening ceremony of the 2023 Guangxi-Hong Kong cooperative education program. This program is organised by PEAK and NCVT. Over 80 students attended the ceremony, with a speech by Professor Raymond So, the dean of PEAK.

Finally, the VTC delegation attended the award presentation ceremony of the 2023 China-ASEAN Culinary Skill Competition for Students from Vocational Colleges. 3 students from ICI and CCI were awarded the First, Second and Third prize. CCI team and ICI instructor also showcased their exceptional culinary skills and received a team award and an instructor guidance award respectively.
