Halloween Tram Party

Students get into costumes and take over an antique open-top tram
This Halloween (31 Oct), almost 30 students hopped aboard one of Hong Kong’s earliest forms of transportation for a unique view of the city - and spooked some passers-by with their make-up and face paint!

Frightening faces. Some Halloween accessories, face-paint and marshmallows to decorate were provided by IDO, although some participants had clearly spent a lot of time getting ready ahead of the event, and prizes were awarded for the best efforts! The tram itself was even given a Halloween makeover with spiders, webs and pumpkins - fitting for its “antique” nature!

Ding ding. With music playing over the tram speakers as it departed from Sai Ying Pun, the mix of local, non-local and exchange students enjoyed some food, drinks and, of course, plenty of Halloween candy!

After travelling east to Causeway Bay and surprising a few members of the public as they stepped off for a photo, students journeyed back westwards, with most alighting in Central to continue their evening together.
