Programme Aims

The programme aims to offer students opportunities to learn a second language (Business Japanese, Korean or Spanish) which will open up their professional and personal opportunities to equip them to work in multinational enterprises and global business.

Students may be offered international exposure and connections through short-term experience including study, intern and cross-cultural learning to enhance their learning, life skills and employment prospects.

Career Prospects

Graduates may be employed in relevant trade areas in international business and trade sectors. They are competent to take up positions at officer / executive level in areas such as administration, business, e-commerce, finance, shipping, exhibition, marketing, sourcing, and logistics in multinational enterprises.

Articulation

Graduates may pursue relevant Degrees locally or overseas. They may also apply for admission to the top-up Degree programmes in Hong Kong offered by the following universities in collaboration with the School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE):

•    Northumbria University, UK: BSc (Hons) Global Business Management#  [Not applicable to Mainland students]

Professional Recognition

Business Discipline has established closed relationship and partnership with business enterprises and professional bodies. The Discipline will invite guest speakers from various professions and arrange related workplace attachments for students to enhance their professional knowledge and employability.

  1. Students may be required to attend classes on other VTC campuses. VTC reserves the right to cancel any programme, revise programme title, content or change the offering institute(s) / campus(es) / class venue(s) if circumstances so warrant.
  2. Programme with interdisciplinary collaboration. The programme is jointly offered by the Business and Languages disciplines.
  3. The revalidation of the programme will be conducted in 2025. The curriculum will be updated if circumstances so warrant.
