Programme Aims

The programme aims to provide students opportunities to execute their ideas from classroom learning on event management and digital promotion in real-life working environment. Participating in mega events or major exhibitions under the placement of Work-integrated Learning could prepare students for event profession.

Modules of Event Management for eSports and Wedding are provided to develop students’ talent in specialised event organising.

Graduates may be employed in the fields of event marketing, event planning & production, exhibition, sales, public relations, marketing, advertising, marketing communications, digital marketing, wedding planning, and eSports production, etc.

Articulation

Graduates may articulate to the Degree programme offered by Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi):


•    Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Public Relations and International Events Management 

 

Graduates may pursue relevant Degrees locally or overseas. They may also apply for admission to the top-up Degree programmes in Hong Kong offered by the following university in collaboration with the School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE):

 

•    Northumbria University, UK: BSc (Hons) Global Business Management# [Not applicable to Mainland students]

Professional Recognition
  1. Students may join the Hong Kong Institute of Marketing as Student Member.
Note

1. Students may be required to attend classes on other VTC campuses. VTC reserves the right to cancel any programme, revise programme title, content or change the offering institute(s) / campus(es) / class venue(s) if circumstances so warrant. 

2. This new programme with Chinese (Putonghua) or Cantonese as the medium of instruction (including some modules taught entirely in English) will be offered in the 2025/26 academic year. The accreditation of programmes by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications will be conducted in 2025. 

3.The revalidation of the programme will be conducted in 2025. The curriculum will be updated if circumstances so warrant.

4. Certain modules within the curriculum are delivered in Chinese. A higher level of Chinese proficiency is required.
