Programme Aims

The programme aims to equip students with comprehensive technical and professional expertise in marketing and event management. The curriculum encompasses a diverse range of subjects, including Event Management for eSports and Weddings, Digital Media and Livestreaming for Events. It ensures alignment with the latest industry trends, application of technologies and design thinking principles.

Through Work Integrated Learning (WIL), students can seamlessly blend theoretical knowledge with practical workplace applications. The programme fosters students as well-rounded and industry-ready professionals, also hones specialized event organization skills and offers hands-on training in managing large-scale events and major exhibitions.

Career Prospects

Graduates may be employed in the different fields of event management and marketing such as event marketing, marketing communications, public relations coordination, digital marketing, event planning and operations, wedding planning and eSports event management, etc.

Articulation

Graduates may articulate to the Degree programmes offered by Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi):

  • BA (Hons) in Public Relations and International Events Management

Graduates may pursue relevant Degrees locally or overseas. They may also apply for admission to the top-up Degree programmes in Hong Kong offered by the following universities in collaboration with the School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE):

  • Northumbria University, UK: BSc (Hons) Global Business Management#[Not applicable to Mainland students]

Professional Recognition

Graduates can apply for Associate Member of Hong Kong Institute of Marketing (AHKIM). Students can also apply for Student Member during their studies.
