Programme Aims

The programme equip students with professional skills and knowledge in sports management and coaching. With support from the sports industry in Hong Kong, students will have opportunities to formulate smart wellness and innovative solutions in sports coaching, events and competitions.  

Interdisciplinary and Work-integrated learning (WIL) enhances both the learning motivation and work readiness of students. The new features broaden students’ horizons and allow students to demonstrate their acquired knowledge in coaching and management skills in conducting fitness assessments, sports training programmes or exercise activities for professional sports teams in Schools and Sports Organisations.

Career Prospects

Graduates may be employed in areas of sports management, coaching, marketing, physical performance assessment, and smart living planning in both public and private sectors, such as National Sports Associations, Leisure and Cultural Services Department, sports enterprises and clubhouses.

Articulation

Graduates may pursue relevant top-up Degrees locally or overseas.

Professional Recognition

Students may apply for Associate member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Property Managers, Associate member of the Health Sports Technology Association.

  1. Students may be required to attend classes on other VTC campuses. VTC reserves the right to cancel any programme, revise programme title, content or change the offering institute(s) / campus(es) / class venue(s) if circumstances so warrant.
  2. The programme is an interdisciplinary collaboration, jointly offered by the Hospitality, Design and Information Technology disciplines.
  3. The revalidation of the programme will be conducted in 2025. The curriculum will be updated if circumstances so warrant.
