Programme Aims

The programme aims to equip students with technical and professional knowledge and skills in sports management. Through the blending of theoretical knowledge and practical applications, students can pursue Sports and Recreation Executive related careers in the sports sector after graduation.   

The programme is designed with an emphasis on generic and language training, whole-person development and workplace experience to better prepare students for further studies or employment after graduation.

Career Prospects

Graduates may be employed in sports management, sports marketing, sports media, sports product design and sports administration in public and private sectors, such as National Sports Associations, Leisure and Cultural Services Department, Non-governmental Organisations, private sports and recreation clubs, sports and recreation programme and event planning companies, sports marketing consultancy firms and sports media.

Articulation

Graduates may pursue relevant top-up Degrees locally or overseas.

Professional Recognition

Students may apply for student membership of the Hong Kong Recreation Management Association.

Industrial Attachment: All programmes in the Hospitality Discipline include compulsory industrial attachment. Relevant work may involve shift duties and may take place during evenings, weekends or public holidays.
