Programme Aims

The programme aims to provide students with professional training in design, development and deployment of 2D and 3D interactive games on mobile and internet devices, with an emphasis on game software quality as well as recent gaming technologies such as AR and VR. The programme will enhance students’ ability and competence to meet the needs of the fast-growing computer games industry.
 
The programme is designed with an emphasis on generic and language training, whole-person development and workplace experience to better prepare students for further studies and employment after graduation.

Career Prospects

Graduates may be employed as Mobile Games and App Developer, Game Software Developers and Designers, Unity Programmer, Interactive Programmer, Game Software Frontend Developer, UI / UX Designer and Web Programmers, and move into posts such as Game System Engineer, Game and IT Project Manager, Web Masters and other managerial positions.

Articulation

Graduates may articulate to the degree programmes offered by Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi):
1.   Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Multimedia Technology and Innovation; and
2.   Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Product Design.

Professional Recognition

The programme is recognised by the Hong Kong Computer Society as satisfying the academic requirements for its Associate Membership.

1. Students may be required to attend classes on other VTC campuses. VTC reserves the right to cancel any programme, revise programme title, content or change the offering institute(s) / campus(es) / class venue(s) if circumstances so warrant.
2. The revalidation of the programme will be conducted in 2025. The curriculum will be updated if circumstances so warrant.
