Programme Aims

The programme aims to equip students with all-rounded knowledge and skills in operating theme parks and theatre-related entertainment performances by integrating aspects of stagecraft, theatre lighting, sound technology and visual effects etc. It provides opportunities for professional training, industrial attachment and career development, and nurtures a new generation of technical personnel with IT talents.

The programme is designed with an emphasis on generic and language training, whole-person development and workplace experience to better prepare students for further studies and employment after graduation.

Graduates may be employed as designers, technical managers, operators and technicians in theme parks, professional theatre companies and theatre venues.

Application for mapping for articulation pathways to local and overseas universities will be sought.

  2. Students may be required to attend classes on other VTC campuses. VTC reserves the right to cancel any programme, revise programme title, content or change the offering institute(s) / campus(es) / class venue(s) if circumstances so warrant.
  3. The programme is newly offered in AY2026/27. The accreditation of programme will be conducted in 2026.

Industrial Attachment: Students will have opportunity to join internship in Hong Kong Disneyland, Ocean Park Hong Kong, Theatre venues under Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), West Kowloon Cultural District, Hong Kong Repertory Theatre, Chung Ying Theatre Company and other professional theatre companies.
